One of the amazing things about Sedona is the vibrant food scene, for tourist and residents alike! While I do a fair amount of cooking, I also frequent several yummy places. Congestion is becoming the norm in the shopping district, as folks explore the vistas for themselves. So I when I visit Sedona, I oftentimes opt for calmer side!
These places are truly out of the ordinary by virtue of their history, location and atmosphere…. There are plenty of bars and clattery places, but my favs’ bring a special charm to any visit to Sedona. Don’t ask me to choose a favorite, cuz it’s not gonna happen!
Judi’s Restaurant & Lounge tops my list, with its ‘down-home’ cooking.

Located in the heart of West Sedona, this little jewel keeps home fires burning for those of us who come back again and again for traditional atmosphere and comfort food. Our place is within walking distance. So when I think of my favorite fresh made ranch dressing and Thursday evening live music, I mingle memories of starry dark skies and silvery shadows under a full moon. Before we learned that the coyotes and javelinas also live nearby and share the same walkways…
Hideaway House comes in a close second, mainly because of dealing with the crowds.

Their rustic patio seating offers killer views across Oak Creek toward Schnebly Hill~ especially at sunset. They have great pizza and wide menu selection, with occasional hummingbirds buzzing by. One of the reasons this restaurant draws the crowds is because it is located on HWY 179 @ ground zero for tourism at its finest.
Heading north into Oak Creek Canyon, Indian Gardens is definitely worth a stop.

Just 4 miles north of Sedona, yet a different universe from uptown Sedona, it’s hippie deli vibe permeates every salad, sandwich and hand crafted juice. We like to enjoy our eats in the shade of the mountainside garden. One could even swear that there be fairies in those hills… making the coffee taste yummy too!
Iconic Coffeepot Restaurant vitally shouts legends and bygone days for travelers passing through Sedona’s west side.

Most folks enjoy the 101 omelettes, but I go for the Tostada Salad or their daily specials. The murals and Katsina provide a feast for the senses, immersing every hungry wayfarer in uniquely Sedona fare.
Junipine Lodge is one of my husband’s favorites.

We love to take a leisurely drive eight miles up scenic 89a along Oak Creek Canyon for lunch among the pines. The fragrance and the breezes of the pines makes me smile.
L’Auberge ranks at the top for ambiance, where creekside dining is spectacular in the fall and springtime…. miracles of nature sparkling around daily delicacies.

Anytime on their patio is magic! Makes for a special ‘date-night.’
Tamaliza’s Cafe sits at the base of famous Airport Mesa,

packing the power of the vortex into authentic Old Mexico flavors. Uniquely Sedona, We’ve been eating at Tamaliza’s for years. Their menu is narrow, but tasty and his quality.
